The Concho Valley Transit District’s new facility is a publicly funded multi-modal transit terminal. The site is located on an area of San Angelo that links downtown to the main highway artery, therefore the project is intended to draw on the established downtown fabric and create a new gateway into this redeveloping area by incorporating mixed-use facilities and public, pedestrian oriented urban space. The site design integrates the variety of bus route stops and circulation, as well as public and employee parking, transit vehicle storage, the terminal/administrative building, outdoor plaza, and mixed used development facilities to house future transit district needs, other public entity offices, retail, and meeting facilities.
