With a growing congregation and need for additional space, Antioch church purchased an adjacent 9,400 sf building previously utilized as a restaurant. This space would be renovated and converted into the new 500 seat auditorium. The existing 7,600 square foot space would be renovated to provide a new larger lobby, cafe, restrooms, and kids classrooms. Three new openings were punched into the existing shared wall between the lobby and new auditorium to provide a connection between the existing and new space. The design team worked with acoustic engineers to prevent noise transmission into the nearby neighborhoods as well as reverberations into the space.
